Precisely speaking, academic backgrounds in the new society has value at
least once when young people exert the right of New Graduates Priority System.
No, it can be said that academic backgrounds were not important even in
old generations after people started to work on real job. However, because
the society was on a growing trend, the matter just did not come up. Or people
could ignore the matter.
In this chapter, I will discuss school education and how it is relevant in
the new society and what kind of benefit it has.
・What is School Education?
Briefly speaking, it will be "preparation for joining society". I think that
what the school education should do is to make everybody be able to
contribute to society, let people adapt to society and live independently
as an adult.
Schools (mainly Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and
Technology) must have thought about educational programs to achieve
the goals and be working hard following them.
However, as a result, even many of the young people who made much efforts
to keep achieving good results (those who have high academic backgrounds)
cannot perform well in the new society.
That is, current (from past to now) school education cannot let majority
people work actively in society.
