How to Raise Salary

2010/8/18

Democratic Party of Japan mentioned in the last Lower House election (August 8, 2009)
that minimum wage should be set as 1000 Yen (11.7 USD as of August 18, 2010) and DPJ
changed the tone to 800 Yen later.

Their attempt to raise the minimum wage under current economic environments was not
welcomed by employers as well as general citizens and workers because people knew that
employers tried to keep wage low and therefore, they tried not to hire people so many.

If DPJ forces this policy, companies will definitely cut the number of workers or
working hours. If so, unemployment rate will go up.

Raising salary without increase of productivity or sales amount will cause bankruptcy
or debt. Even Elementary students can understand this simple policy although it seems
government employees cannot (because their salary or status is absolutely guaranteed
under any economic condition in Japan, which is very hated by general Japanese citizens.).

Based on this simple policy, on the contrary, we can know how to raise our salary.
